Life After Harry Potter isn't too Bad!

Like every other Harry Potter fan, I went threw serious withdrawl after the 7th book came out. I loved the ending but I not only wanted more I needed more. I loved reading but I had no idea what to read, nothing came even close to comparing with it. And then my friends suggested a book a lot of Harry fans enjoyed. Finally something to read that was just as good if not better! Can you guess...yes Twilight. For all you other HP fans suffering from PPD (post potter disorder) life isnt over. Here is a new series for you to go crazy over! And dont worry for your Harry Potter fix we still have the movies and wizardrock! So like I said, life after Harry Potter isn't so bad. I am now recovering from PPD, and you can too!
On another note though, I am furious about the release date of the 6th Harry Potter movie being move back almost an entire YEAR!!! What the crap! It was going to be released in like 2 months, well not anymore. Now Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is scheduled to come out in july of 2009. BOGUS! It's all for money too. They feel the movie will make more money in the summer. I disagree! Everyone goes to the movies in the winter. And i am pretty sure you could release it any day of the year and it would be a HUGE success! It's HARRY POTTER for crying out loud! ok my mini-rant is over! I feel better. lol.

Breaking Dawn Defense

To all of you people who didn’t like Breaking Dawn, were you reading a different book then I was? I loved it. Breaking Dawn is tied with Twilight for my favorite book in the series. From what I have heard most of you non-believers you didn’t like it because there was no fight scene at the end, or there wasn’t much passion or Edward wasn’t a very good father, and some other things.
Well first off, Stephenie Meyer obviously isn’t as cynical as you guys. They might have won the fight, but they would have lost members of their family and friends. Would you have felt satisfied with the book then if Alice, Esme, and Emmett died? I seriously doubt it. Who wants to read a book where most of the characters they love die? Because I sure don’t. Let’s just be honest, we all wanted a happy ending and there was no way that would have happened if a fight broke out.
Next, if by saying there wasn’t enough passion do you mean there weren’t enough sex scenes or they weren’t descriptive enough? Well there was kind of a lot going on in the book for sex all the time don’t you think? Bella was pregnant for a good portion of the book and then they were trapped in their impending doom! And yet there still was quite a bit of it. I thought the way Stephenie wrote the sex scenes were perfect. If they were more descriptive it would have been a little bit awkward to read don’t you think? Plus Stephenie is Mormon and write a detailed sex scene would be a little much…you know?
Last, Edward was a great father! He absolutely adored Renesmee. Don’t you remember how he said her name with a “religious devotion”? it is true however that there were not many parts where his parenting was displayed but that’s because the book is from Bella’s perspective and she is a little self centered. She either focuses one hundred percent on Renesmee or Edward. And when her attention is on Edward it is most likely not when Renesmee is there-wink wink.
All in all I thought breaking dawn was a perfect ending to a perfect book series. But of course I wish it wasn’t the end at all! I hope someday the story will continue, most likely from someone else’s perspective. And now I will be focusing on Midnight Sun! WOO HOO!
